After months of preparations, testing, building, and fine-tuning, Enigmarium Blåvand officially opened its doors on Denmark’s west coast.

The new centre features two original adventures inspired by Nordic legends: Ludvig’s Kitchen: The Hygge Recipe and The Wondrous Machine: The Tail of the Midgard Serpent. Both games were created through a collaboration between award-winning escape experience designers from Ljubljana and Danish entrepreneurs, bringing a new generation of immersive escape experiences to Denmark.

The first reactions from players have exceeded our expectations.

Guests repeatedly described the games as immersive, surprising, beautifully designed, and unlike anything they had experienced before. Many commented on the cinematic atmosphere, original stories, special effects, and the feeling of truly stepping into another world rather than simply solving puzzles in a room.

Perhaps the greatest compliment came from the visitors themselves:

Many teams returned immediately to play the second game after finishing the first one.

For us, there is no stronger proof that the adventures deliver what they promise. Instead of playing one game and leaving, guests chose to stay longer and continue their journey into the world of Nordic legends.

This was especially encouraging because the two adventures offer very different experiences. Ludvig’s Kitchen is a playful, heartwarming adventure inspired by the Danish Nisse and the spirit of hygge, while The Wondrous Machine takes players on an epic quest beneath the Danish coast, where they must prevent the awakening of the legendary Midgard Serpent.

The opening weekend also attracted attention from local media, tourism partners, and escape room enthusiasts who travelled to Blåvand to experience the games among the first players (thank you, guys!).

And this is only the beginning.

Many visitors have already asked the question every escape room creator loves to hear:

“When is the next room coming?”

For now, we are focusing on delivering unforgettable experiences to every team that walks through our doors. But we can already reveal that more ideas are waiting in the wings.
